The City Of Boston Visitors Guide

written by admin

Dining out in Boston is a study in culinary elegance. No matter the budget or type of food desired there is something for everybody. The choice of food is immense, and the list of restaurants to visit is massive. Not all of the best eating places are in a restaurant. Sometimes the restaurants are on the street. Boston has a great many street food vendors that provide the best in on the run eating.

If you are in Boston during the baseball season, the food vendors around Fenway Park have offerings that compliment the atmosphere of Yawkey Way and Kenmore Square. In addition to the traditional hot dogs loaded to the max, you will find the incredible savory sausage, pepper and onion sandwiches, Philly Cheese steaks dripping with melted cheese and even Cuban sandwiches, a new Fenway tradition begun by one of Boston’s favorite pitchers Luis Tiant. Pizza fans will find the pizza choices overwhelming, and the hoagies are the best around. Combine that with the popcorn, peanuts and cracker jacks and you will find food fit for a king.

If you are in the Boston Common area, check out the food vendors scattered around the area. Right outside Park Street Station is Mr. Hot Dog. He serves up steamed dogs with all the trimmings, chips and soda for a very reasonable price. The lunch crowd keeps the cook and server very busy, but the continuous entertainment of the crowd on the Common will make the wait worthwhile. If you still have room after the dogs, look for the pretzel cart guy. His homemade, warm pretzels have become an institution on the Common, and it does not matter if you eat them plain or dipped in mustard. If pretzels aren’t your thing, maybe the freshly popped popcorn with butter is the answer to a mid afternoon snack. The popcorn man can be found on the Common not far from the hotdog and pretzel cart. The hits keep comin’: No. 3 top Latino pitcher: Luis Tiant
